Another shooting..

Another shooting? And during homecoming? What?

What is wrong with the world?

Shots were fired during homecoming weekend at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, North Carolina. This left one man wounded and prompting a brief lockdown on campus.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are looking for four suspects, three of which had dreadlocks. Each were reportedly armed with handguns, type unknown.

Devine Eatmon, a twenty one year old was found lying on the sidewalk wounded. The police were looking for four suspects. Fortunately, he had non-life threatening injuries.

Thank god.

An article on this horrible event can be found here:

It hasn’t even been determined if the victim knew the suspects.

Crazy.

How can people be so cruel?

How could you do this?

This is outrageous and needs to be stopped. People need to be smarter and if they need help to make better decisions their friends or family members should get them some help.

No one should be scared in their own school, on their own campus, or anywhere. Why is this world turning out to be so violent?

People heard gun shots, and saw people running away.

And to make matters worse this was during North Carolina A&T University’s homecoming week. Threatening the lives of alumni as well. Even more people could’ve been harmed in a time when they are supposed to be able to celebrate their time as a student at North Carolina A&T University and not a time of hurt.

Homecoming is supposed to be a happy time for people to go back and visit their college and catch up with old friends. Why do people think it is okay to ruin events like this? I just don’t get it.

Tips on when to tip

10 people you aren’t tipping enough.. Hmm.. this actually sounds like an interesting article.

Makes me wonder what people are not getting tipped. Recently, I have started my working experience in the restaurant business and I feel that sometimes people don’t tip us, and usually it happens to be the people who were the most difficult and frankly, the people who were actually not very nice to begin with.

This article explains how much percent of your bill you are expected to tip for certain services. I find this very intriguing. Good job news outlets!

This article can be found here:

According to the article, people are often wrong when guessing how much to tip people for their services.

The part of the article that got me however, was the part where it states that only thirty-eight percent of Americans feel obligated to tip someone who delivers something to them. I think this is wrong.

People need to think about things from the other person’s perspective more. Think of it this way…

You are a delivery man moving a couch into someone’s home. You get paid less than you should but you work hard without complaining. The house you deliver it to has some difficulties with getting it into the door, so you problem solve because this is your job and you and your co-worker get the couch through their garage door verses their front door. This works out for you but it also took up more time and more heavy lifting for you because you couldn’t use your machine to help you. Then the people you are delivering to, don’t tip you.

How would that make you feel? Not very good is my guess. I know I wouldn’t like it if someone didn’t tip me when I’m serving them. People need to have more courtesy in this world. You obviously have some money, just a few dollars, to spare if you are buying new furniture so pay the poor man who is slaving away to help you!

According to the article you owe that man five or ten dollars. So think about you just shorted him money to buy his lunch. Good job.

This is not unreasonable at all. People who provide a service should be tipped that’s just how it works. So think about this next time.

Health Care

There are problems with Obama’s health laws. Things are getting real.

An article found on msn.com can be found here:

Some Americans will gain health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act, while others will lose their current plans and still more don't know yet.

This seems fishy to me.

“Now is when Americans start figuring out that President Barack Obama's health care law goes beyond political talk, and really does affect them and people they know.” This is the opening statement of the article.

This scares me and I’m just a kid.

Americans are confused.

Come on Obama.

What are we doing?

People are unaware of what is going on. This needs to be changed.

Recently, however, according to the article people are becoming more and more educated everyday (within the last month) due to advertising. This is good.

According to the article,

“Fifty-five percent now say they have enough information to understand the law's impact on their family, up 8 percentage points in just one month.”

What is interesting to me is that this article is titled, “Obama's health law finally gets real for America,” This means this is finally hitting Americas hard.

The Obama administration claims that nobody will lose coverage as a result of cancellation notices that have been going out to people. At least 3.5 million Americans have been issued cancellations however there is no individual state data to back this up in about half the states.

According to the article,

“Officials say these consumers aren't getting "canceled" but "transitioned" or "migrated" to better plans because their current coverage doesn't meet minimum standards.”

This is also good. I’m not quite sure how I feel about this yet though.

However, many Americas are unclear that they are not being “cancelled” and just “transitioned” again, this is also known as our government needs to get it together and help these people.

Obama is trying to sugarcoat this by saying this only affects five percent of Americans. However, this is a country of more than 300 million people, five percent is about 15 MILLION PEOPLE! This blows my mind.

Some Americans are trying to figure things out by using websites that are supposed to help them see where they stand for a plan, however no one knows for sure if these websites are reliable. This seems like another problem. There are so many problems! What are we doing?
