Prom Pressures (to be continued)

Students all across the country have been attending prom the last few weeks and still will in the next few weeks to come. Prom is a high school girls dream. Boys too look forward to prom but nothing compared to the girls and their dresses and shoes and hairstyles. Oh and I forgot nails and jewelry. It’s quite an ordeal.

Sometimes I think we do too much to get ready for prom. It shouldn’t be as hard as it is for girls. We shouldn’t stress about everything as much as we do. I think if there was less pressure from society and social media that girls wouldn’t be so concerned.

My point with this is though, it’s hard enough for girls to have the perfect prom night so why do we pressure them so much? And why do school administrations create these bogus rules?

Many school administrations at prom have been asking girls to leave because their dresses were too revealing.
